Content Heavy Websites With Beautiful Layout

Once in awhile we are asked to design websites that are loaded with content. Copy heavy website designs require a well planned and structured layout, hierarchy and balance — all essential for maintaining navigation and readability throughout the entire site.

As the web becomes increasingly intertwined in our everyday lives (like it not enough already) the more print publications and news papers are moving towards online media, in addition to blogs, this also results in websites maintaining and taking influences from their printed form — relying heavily on layout and hierarchy.

Below are 25 content heavy websites that utilize a beautiful structure, layout and hierarchy in their design.

Great Post – thank you :)

  2. Brenda says:

There is no doubt, they are all awesome. But if your website is full of info or just like this, will it consume time when loading? Like when you have readers who have slow connection, will it load fast?

  3. Brian says:

    Brenda,
If you optimize your images and your site properly loading times shouldn’t be an issue, especially if you look at the percentage of slow connection users that visit your site. Analytics should be used to determine what the best solution for designing a site is. If Analytics show that 40% of the users are still using dial-up (I doubt it, but lets pretend for a minute), then having heavy images on a site should be reconsidered.
