  1. Hey Brian, you really do primo work !

Why do we need a logo? Uh, we need to visually connect more with the tactile minded and substrate hangers on. Marketers, Designers and Bz Owners who need the very best Direct Mail, Point of Sale, Catalogs and Collateral.

    Do ya feel it?

    Many thanks, Erich

Well, I have designed my logo, but it is nothing professional. It would be nice good one.
    Thank you.

  3. Growing business regarding photography, stories, speakers, writers and other creative professionals. Ideally a logo that could capture and resemble the complexity of a multi faceted company with a unified vision to tell stories in various forms to reveal the glory within them. Thanks for the opportunity!!

  4. Hi-

We’re a very small company with a focussed product/service, but no solid branding. Past logo(s) have been best attempts at designing a presence as unique as our finished product.

BoppArt Decorative Painting is, well, what it sounds like….we do high-end decorative painting, faux finishing, murals. We know our stuff in the decorative arts world, but have not been able to translate that effectively to our online presence and (again) our brand/logo. As we become more established in the industry (see This Old House Magazine - July/Aug pg. 20) it’s imperative we fix the above. Help?

    Thanks!
    Steven

I am a graphic designer who is just starting up a greeting card business, specialising in baby cards. I am great at doing other people’s logos and corporate ID but just can’t make up my mind on one idea for myself. I think I’m too close to the work. I would love for someone else to be able to help me come up with a logo.

I’m just at the stage where all my cards are designed and I’m ready to go to print but don’t have my ID sorted out.

  7. FacesOfThe.com is the name of my company, I feel like I need a perspective from a 3rd party. I would like to give a shot to someone else’s take on my product / company. The company is a digital manipulation of a portrait based on a system series which is printed on canvas. If I am chosen I think showing you a finished product would help in the logo creation.

We’re a very small company, small as in 10 students joining together to create projects, market and advertise ourselves. We’ve been attempting to make a good logo for about 2 years and have fallen short everytime. We’re all poor students, so hey, paying for a logo is about 3 months food for us!

  9. Nothing. Nada. Zip :D
That means no logo. Not that I couldn’t use it, let’s say, but right now I just want to congratulate you for this progress and allow me to thank YOU for posting great things for us here. And for making me feel part of a world, not an outsider. And… oh well, just because :))
    Congrats and thanks :)

  10. A brand new commercial art service, featuring:
    - conceptual illustration for print and digital media
    - storyboarding and pre-vis services in 2D and 3D
    - prints and merchandise

…requiring a suitable brand image to help it arrive at market in style.

At risk of overdoing the bid, I add that your blog stands head and shoulders for substance and style above the hundreds I’ve prowled over recent months in preparation for launch, and I’d be honoured to have you on board.

  11. I have started a company called Pass Advisors that helps foreigners (mostly in China) who want to study in the USA and UK. We help them research schools, help them apply, handle the student visa’s etc.
I think our logo is an interesting challenge for you because it needs to speak to both Chinese consumers (the students and their parents) and also to Western high schools and colleges that are our partners.
I mocked up one logo that works with the idea of a round ink stamp of the word “pass” as if you passed a test. Round stamps are common in China and ties in with the education theme, but is just the starting point… Thanks for your consideration.

  12. As much work as I do for everyone else, you’d think I’d get around to my own header/logo…

My site, EricaSays.com is in need of some branding. I’m a mom-blogger, but I don’t like being categorized as one of these cutesy mom’s who happens to blog. I have a professional side. I’m an amateur photographer, I play instruments and sing, I adore sign language, and I’m a complete geek. If I had to pick something to define me, image wise, it would have something to do with technology.

I’ve worked with companies like Ford, Sprint, CNET/CBS etc. When people come from their sites to mine I want them to be impressed.

I blog about topics that are important to me, to moms and families, as well as other bloggers. I do a few product reviews for companies, but only if the products suit my lifestyle. I do some Wordpress theme modifications and my passion is to help people get their sites and blogs online!

    Thanks for offering your services!!

  13. I’ve got a fun website specializing in teaching tourists/foreigners about food in China. I’ve got an iPhone app launching soon and the Shanghai Expo is just around the corner so I could use a new logo to help me launch my iPhone app and my marketing campaign in preparation for the Expo.

  15. Hi Brian,

I’m just getting my business–Hoopilates NYC– off the ground. I’m a Pilates instructor/dancer/hula-hooper that has recently combined all of the above into a class called Hoopilates. (It is a blast.) I need a logo/card to hand out when people stop me and ask “What are you going to DO with all those hoops?”

I’ve been working out the kinks in the class and location logistics and am now ready to reach outside my immediate community of friends and colleagues and bring a BUNCH more people to classes. My first step is a logo so I can get cards out and try my hand at putting up a simple website.

My creativity lies in an entirely different realm than the design world, so while I have some clear and great ideas about branding my business, I need to collaborate with design wiz. Ahem…help.

    Many thanks!
    Jen

I am a graphic design student and so far logos have not been my thing. I’m finding it incredibly difficult to take everything a company is and wants and shrink it down to a nice little logo. I havent even been able to design a logo for myself which is why I would love to have a logo designed by you for my photography/design/craft business that I am in the works of starting, which will be named “Darling Duckabeees” or just “Duckabeees” (still a bit undecided). I think having my logo designed by a professional would be one of the greatest ways I could learn.

Congrats on having such a successful blog!

  18. Hey There…

I run a digital media group but also teach classes at Clemson University. These classes put together something called NetworkBash…a one day event that empowers students to use Social Media’s to build career connections with industry and turn them into relationships. This event is student led and student driven and will become a regular event this year. IT NEEDS A FRESH LOOK. So…I thought I would apply. Thanks for listening!

  19. Hi Brian,
I would love a professionally designed logo for my business as I want to get my web pages up and I need a wonderful logo to make them memorable.
I am a Certified Life Coach, and my company’s name is Labyrinth Life Coaching - which I have already obtained as a web address.
The reason I picked a labyrinth to represent my coaching is because:
    - A Life Coach helps others find the answers inside of them,
    - A labyrinth has only one way in to the middle and one way out.
    - If I can help people get to the middle of their situation, ask them questions about it, and give them the time and space to really think about it, then they will be able to find a way to alter the situation or alter their thoughts about the situation.
    - They will be able to return back to the beginning with new insights, strategies, and tools to improve or change their situation, (as often happens when people walk a physical labyrinth).

    Thank you for your consideration.

  22. Well, I’m a web design student and still newbie when it comes to professional logo design but I really need a simple and memorable logo for our company.
My company name is Fatal Creative and we are trying to establish few startup projects and will see how the times goes if we can succeed with them.

  23. I am currently building a website for showing prospective employers and or clients as I am currently studying multimedia at university.
I need a logo for this new website, and would love a professionally designed one!
The website will be a portfolio site and contact point as well as an opportunity to share interesting and inspiring things I find on the internet.
The site is my name, Daniel Ogden.

As someone entering this industry and subscribing to heaps of design and development blogs, I am really excited about getting to work!

Is a new blog in Spanish, about design, freelance and web design, trying to help the community with articles, trick and inspiration sources, is not online yet but we are finishing the process of the technical stuffs and preparing the launching for July, and a professional logo would be amazing, we are three designer but we don’t want a logo made by us, cause it could be based on our likes, not really in a real briefing and the result could be good at the beginning but after we can not be equally satisfied.
I hope I win and congratulation for those stats, impressive for only 7 months you’ve gotten a lot of great goals.

  28. Congratulations, Brian!

Love this blog; Tweet something about its posts almost every day. You do great work. Cheers!

  29. Erich & Casper,
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed viewing my work. I’ll be selecting a winner on Friday so stay posted.

    Ella,
Wow, thank you! It’s been a great 7 months for me and the blog. The great people I met (like yourself) and the enjoyment helping I receive makes it all worth the while. Thanks for the comment and looking forward to hearing more from you. :)

    CJ,
The winners logo creative process will be documented in a future blog post here so keep posted and good luck.

  30. Hi Brian,

I’d like to have a log done not for my own company, but for my mom. She has her own educational technology consulting business, Barbara Kerr Consulting. What she does is show how K-12 teachers can integrate technology into the classroom (whiteboards, interactive online games, blogs… etc).

I’m left scratching my head as to how to design a logo, as the name does not lend to what it is she does. Her idea is her initials and a blackboard, which wouldn’t translate well to small size instances.

    Thanks,
    Devin

  31. Woooo we love your work! Good job! you are on the route to 10,000!! I need a logo! Pick me pick me! I don’t know what to design for “isablah” why isablah? well caue no matter how many times I tell people my name (isabella) they never remember it right. They call me (or write) isabel, izabel, isabelle, bel, izza etc.. heared them all. so why bother.. isablah. :P

    Good luck!
oh wait, i should say that to myself..

  34. Hi, I’m Phil and I work in the IT department of Pennsylvania Legislative Services. We’re a small (about a dozen employees and a few interns) legislative reporting business based in Harrisburg, PA. We offer bill tracking, legislative reporting, media clipping and tracking and customized websites to clients.

Our website is out of date, but the IT department (my boss and I) do not have the time to give it to makeover it needs and financially it has been deemed not to be a priority. I definitely believe that a logo redesign would be just the impetus needed to convince the powers that be that a professionally redesigned page is exactly what PLS needs.

  35. I am starting out in Photography and would love to have a logo for my photography business. Thx.

  36. Hi Brian,

Pick me pick me! I am a freelance designer, looking to launch my own studio. I have two names, one is carimu a combination of my name and my last name. the second one is caristudio. What I do? interactive web/graphic design, and print.

my passion is to create website for foundation and organization that help people in needs. I am currently working on my portfolio, but guess what? I need a logo first…my domains names are caristudio.com and carimu.net

    Many thanks,
    cari, NYC

  37. Hi, I’m Alex, a photographer from Romania. I have recently opened a business focused on music photography. I photograph concerts and I do band portraits and editorials. Currently I’m working on the site where my images will be displayed, and a logo would really help create the visual identity it needs. The company’s name is Loud Images, which, I think, has a lot of creative potential.

    All the best!

» Why you would like a new logo for your company,
I’m designing a new (niche) web community that will be pretty interesting for all of you guys. Sadly I cannot give any details. I’m usually very picky with my own stuff. And end up doing nothing at all. A logo by another professional will be very refreshing and inspiring.

    » Your companies name, and
    The website will be lubuloo.com

» A brief statement about what your company does
Like I said, it will be a web community that will interest all of you designers/developers. Can’t say no more.

  39. YAY! congrats on all your success, it’s well deserved!

  40. I am launching a new website @ http://mint4u.com and the main aim of this blog is to generate income for charity.
Basically, anyone can publish an article on this blog(I will moderate it ofcourse) and they will earn 100% of adsense income for the article(for lifetime) — Income sharing site. But I will be using some other CPM network to place 1 or 2 ads, which I will be using for charity. So people who write on the blog will be indirectly or directly helping many many and many people(over time). And we have a panel of people who will do meeting and decide on where to donate the money each time, we generate some significant income.

Hope we are doing something worthwhile, help us with a great logo. Thanks

    With Best Regards,
    SATISH

We live in Vancouver, Canada in the province of British Columia (BC). The name of the website/company is called ‘BC Made’. So if you are into a more eco/organic style looking font design/challenge — we would be thankful eternally!!

  43. Simplex Studios: We do print work, wordpress sites and graphic design. We would love a fresh new logo from another designer.

  44. Greets Brian,

I just happened on your site by way of theTechLabs’ twitter feed. I’m in a bit of a unique position in that I started out this year running my own development company. I’m a one man shop primarily developing apps in the med world. I’m in the process of releasing a website & blog to showcase but have no logo or “official” identity, although I’ve a pretty good idea of what I’d like. Honestly, I could use it because I don’t have an extreme amount of capital at this time, I’m trying to carve my way into a tough sector, and could really use a logo to brand myself. And if it matters any, I’d definitely refer your skills to many folks along the way (and attribute a successful image to you!).

Whether I win or not though, thanks for the ears; I’ve never seen your blog but am adding it to my feed reader right now. You’ve got some pretty good content. Thanks.

  45. Company: coDEsign : The Fine Art of Front-End Web Development

We are a small group of guys about to venture into the blogging business using our expertise in front-end web development as the primary content for our readers. I’ve been messing around with designs for a while and have been stuck at a design block now for 2 months. I think its time to get someone else to do it, but with no budget its difficult at best.

Win or lose, I follow ya on twitter, subscribe to your blog, and love just about every post I’ve read since following you. Keep up the great work.

    The is LogoBR

With new site, we want to give more information with some pages about, namely, news types (to sell and free), logotypes and your branding projects. Logo is write in Portuguese and in English. This logo have to think to represent a blog and, in next few mouths, represent a studio of Design too. So, this name (LogoBR) is to blog and to design studio.

I hope that my project be picked.
    All of the best

PS: I’m so sorry for this my “simple English” ;-)

  47. Hi Brian,
    Thanks for this!
I’m in the initial stages of a new venture: “Classical House Concerts International”. The classical music world is going through some major shifts; as a performing pianist, one of my favourite ways to engage with audiences is through intimate small gatherings in people’s homes. This mode of sharing live music hearkens back to the soirees and salon events of the past, while creating new dynamics of interaction between audiences and performers.
    Thanks again,
    Sandra

  48. Hello! I’m from Brazil and I found your site thought a Twine’s link.
Your work is really impressive and your site is a very font of examples for every designer. Congratulations!
About the promotion, I would like a new logo for my mother’s business. She has a sewing workshop in Catanduva, a small town in Brazil. It is called “Oficina de Costura MAGDA”, wich in English means something like “Magda’s Sewing Workshop”.
I believe that a new logo from someone like you, a great designer, can bring another point of view to my mother’s business and make her believe again in the power of her business. It’s been a hard time for us here in Brazil and she is having problems to get new costumers.
You can see her Picasa Album at http://picasaweb.google.com/oficinadecosturamagda .
Congratulations, again! Thaks for the good job! Keep on it, you got a new reader!!!

  49. Great idea Brian!!
Well I would like a new logo because, mine was purchased from a site that really wasn’t that creative but necessary at the time I needed it. I purchased it (for like $25..printing house online had them offered) and now I struggle looking at it daily wondering who else has this logo!

    Company name: Love The Suds
Description: ~Worry free bath products. Soaps, Bath fizzies/bombs, Massage oils, Body washes, Old fashioned castile soaps, Body butters, Lotions and Potions!
All of my products are animal free, nut free, milk free, soy free, phthalate free and I offer a wide selection of gluten free, corn free, dye free, products.
    As few chemicals as possible.
All of my supplies come from fair trade sources, wanted to be as green and human friendly as possible!
I also bring the deals to my customers when ever I can. 6 months in business and growing a little bit each day.
OK not brief but explains what I do. lol

She has started a local candy shop with sweets from all over the world and sells random gadgets and gizmos that you don’t find in the typical store. 56. Hello, we are a group of students in Bali having a dream of one place as a source of information and get to know what’s happening around Balinese youth, as well as sharing educational informations. We established The Youth Corner Bali about almost 2 years ago. This is actually a fun and social project we do with our spare time, and we consider this as our (youth) social contribution for Bali. We do believe that a well designed logo is an important part of a company, and we think our logo has not yet catch the attention of youth in Bali. We did not call somebody to use our logo, instead of we did what we can with image application ;p

We do hope if there is somebody that can help us with our logo and help make this blog grow even better, and… internationally recognize. So that everybody in the whole wide world can know the latest information about youth in Bali via our blog. Regards, Eka
