While the graphic design community is surrounded with thousands of inspiring web, logo and printed graphic design galleries we can often forget how to become inspired elsewhere.
Recently, I have been looking into interior and industrial design for inspiration in some of my latest works and have found it to be quite different and inspiring. Colors, shapes, patterns and the layout of various elements within someones living environment can provide you a new perspective of inspiration and a new way of looking at the environment we live in.
To help, I have compiled a list of 13 interior and industrial design blogs that will to get those creative juices flowing and provide you a new alternative of graphic design inspiration from a non-graphic design standpoint – (At least with these examples you don’t actually have to go peeping in homes around your neighborhood).

Totally awesome Pearl Earrings available at LusterForever.com

Hi. This is indeed a new perspective on design. What about ikea.com. Amazing site and specially the teenage rooms are wow!
Lately when I feel creatively stumped i have been walking down the street to the crate & barrel. Its always good to get design inspiration outside of the graphic & web design realm.
Brian,
I knew there was a reason I follow you. Great fresh and relevant content. Nice work.
This has always been one of my favorite non-design designed sites:
TNvacation.com/
So amazingly detailed. Awesome to see people embracing design where you’d least expect it. JetBlue.com is pretty great, too.
Great list!
Wow, thanks for sharing this. Nice work!
Wow! very impresive (and odd) non-webdesigners for webdesign. Funny and true: inspiration sometimes hides in the most unlikely places. Thanks for posting!
Great list, lots of inspiration. I love poppytalk.

Gretchen,
I appreciate the kind words and the follow! Great to see you comment, keep them coming :)
Greg,
Thanks for the two great links. Just had a look at them and appreciate your feedback.
Inspiration can come from all kinds of places. You can never predict what will inspire you. The trick is to keep your eyes open and maintain a frame of mind that is receptive to new ideas. If you see something that strikes you, make a note of it. Who knows, it could be the highlight on your next design project.
