i especially like Vivaio and Earthen Care!

  2. cardeo says:

That office strategies one is pretty nice – my favorite

  3. Max says:

These are really great, good to see other peoples work

  4. Nice collection of designs – clever take on the recycle logo for earthencare, but the brown jesus might take the cake…

  5. Jason G says:

Keep in mind it’s just a critique, but most of these “logos” are rather unremarkable. 1st year art school quality. Other are just a flat out mess. Bevels and drop shadows and PS filters and clip art OH MY!? I wouldn’t even classify a lot of these as logos, rather designs that should be seriously rethought. There are a few top notch, professional looking stand outs though.

  6. Mike Smith says:

Office Strategies and See Nick Design are my two favorite. Definitely some nice work listed here. Thanks for gathering these together.

  7. Interesting collection of designs – fun to see what images designers select as their own favorites. Really appreciate the Marquis Services take on a traditional monogram, Airey’s customized type treatment, Brown Jesus, Cal’s Downtown Entertainment imagery and the illustration style of Sparky Firepants.

  8. Hey Brian thanks for the opportunity to submit my logo. Very cool to see everyones favorite/best logos. Thanks Jeff for the compliments :)

Why is there always that one hater in the group (same person) with posts like this. To cowardly to leave a link back to their site/work. You have to wonder.

  9. crazywabbit says:

What is great is that we all have different styles and each one is appealing in its own way, plus Brian has a good eye and taste for logo’s so his selection is great as usual.

  10. Thanks you very much ! Great list

  11. AdnElric says:

I have to agree with Jason G.

I would note Earthencare and Office Strategies as my two favourites, hoping that the client wich buys the Office Strategies concept would be a two visually similar words in length.

  12. Great post! Thanks for putting it together!

Earthen Care is stellar and that berthier is by far the one that resonates with me the most… really nice to see such a wide range. Top notch.

  17. Thanks for including LifeSize in there!

    Good job everyone.

  18. Lisa Manson says:

Thanks so much Brian for including my “little legs” logo. There’s some fantastic designs here – my fave’s are earthencare & marquis.
This logo is not necessarily my ‘best’ one – but definitely my favourite because of the process and the clients I had the opportunity to work with.
Congratulations to everyone on the list!

  19. Thanks for the inclusion Brian, great to see such a varied range of logos. Well done for all included.

  20. conancreatif says:

Thanks Brian for including my work. I I have to say th the carefully selected simplicity of ” “Brown Jesus” makes it the strongest one for me.

  21. Symbiotics says:

excellent works! too bad I arrived too late to submit mine

  22. Andrew Houle says:

Fantastic collection. I especially enjoyed The Holmesian logo.

  23. Some really inspirational logos here. The Vivaio logo really stands out to me because of it’s simplicity and clean design. Of course, the MindDead logo also looks great. ;)

  24. Niki Brown says:

Thanks for featuring my logo! good work everyone!

  25. Pamela Jacob says:

Once again really great creative logo’s – I love seeing the creativity!

  26. Brainchild Collective’s “Marquis Services” = outstanding concept, elegantly combines symbols, connotes premium stature, and a refined execution to boot!

Siah Design’s “Office Strategies” = brilliantly simple and “unbreakable.” A great deal for $500.00!

  27. Great logo collection! …and thanks for featuring mine too! ;-)

    Cheers!

  33. Robert says:

I gotta say, there’s some great design going on here. Sure, there are a few with some design choices I wouldn’t have made, but it’s pretty cool to see all the effort. Thanks Brian for including me with the bunch!

  34. Joe Akers says:

Great job to everyone who submitted! Brian, thanks for including me and thanks to everyone who commented on my work. Like the mark of Priddis… I caught the “P” and “G”.

I’d hope that those who choose to voice opinions about others work do so as a critique and not criticism. Everyone who submitted their work has done so out of pride for what they’ve done and a desire to learn from others. It’s just my opinion, but if you’re being negative about another’s work and not presenting yours, it’s quite petty…. By the way, I misspelled “stationery”.

  35. Clem says:

What an awfully terrible bunch of designs, proving once again that ‘designers’ can’t design for themselves, at least the bad ones. Shockingly bad.

  36. Brian says:

Thanks again to everyone that submitted – couldn’t have done it without all of you! :)

    Clem -
It serves nobody any good to provide a response like that. First, not everyone is a “master” designer like yourself and we all strive to better ourselves through practice, critique and continued learning.

And could we please get an undisputed definition for good, as you say “bad” design. What makes bad design bad? Or good design good? – a question to all.

  37. crazywabbit says:

@Brian, good design is in the eye of the beholder. What is bad to someone may be great to others.

  38. RMK says:

Do you guys have actually an idea of what a “logo” is? Most of those are not logos, not even poor illustrations (which are supposed to ILLUSTRATE something). Adding styles and filters to a DaFont.com free font DOESN’T make a logo.

  44. Jeffrey says:

I love those designs, can I be taught how it’s done?

  45. mchutch says:

OMG. I agree with some of the previous posters. Most of the logos are not logos at all. A style treatment or illustration does not a logo make. My eyes start to hurt looking at some of them. Though it may be overlooked, the Office Strategies logo has something conceptually interesting. It’s just the execution needs to be refined, a strange imbalance typographically is occurring. The earthencare logo is interesting conceptually as well. It’s near the edge of being overly stylized. One more element and it would have gone over to the dark side. I wonder how the tagline holds up at a small size.

Kern, kern, and avoid the cliche and the irrelevant.
