Complete list of special character keyboard shortcuts

Much like the right choice font can make or break a great design, not knowing proper punctuation can as well. The following post is a list of special characters and typographic keyboard shortcuts. Accents, dipthongs, ligatures, mathematical symbols — the whole nine yards.

NOTE: This list was completed using Apple keyboard shortcuts. Sorry PC guys and gals! For the most part though, most of these shortcuts will work for Windows users.

Know the difference between an em dash, en dash and hypens? Find out if you are using them correctly.

Let me know if I am missing any and feel free to comment your own.

How about fractions? I’ve just switched to a MacBook Pro and the keystrokes I used to use for Windows/PC don’t work. Thanks.
