Since recently joining the Twitter community, I been introduced to a diverse range of creative and talented persons that share my same passion for graphic/web design, web development and blogging.
I asked my designer, developer and blogger friends on Twitter if they would like their business cards featured in my next blog post (add me on Twitter so you don’t miss out next time). Here’s the outcome. Drum roll please…

Wow, some real beauties! What a great selection everyone : D
Thanks Brian for you hard work on this post and including me in the mix!
Great cards Brian. Kind of makes me want to go back to the drawing board with my own! Good job everyone and thanks for contributing!
Brian, thanks for including us in your business card roundup. It’s really nice to see some new stuff after all of those “Top 2000 Best of the Best Business Cards” posts that just show the same stuff over and over again — the one printed on the rubber band that you have to stretch to read, funky die-cut metal, etc.
Sweet Post … you might have to do a part 2. So I can get my card in.
I’m with Steve. Here’s mine: http://www.sleepyhero.com/business_card.html
Hey Brian, thanks for this fabulous post. It was great to see the impressive work of my fellow designer Twitterers. Nicely done!
Thanks for the post… I’ve also noticed about a quadrillion new follows today, probably in response.
Great idea, good marketing post, and lots of good business card ideas. I am digging this post!
Love seeing some high quality card design. Especially loved viximo’s card. High quality. I’m always surprised when designers don’t make the effort to have an absolutely SWEET card. It really makes the old card exchange at conferences much more fun! Yes, that’s right, I’m talking to you… this list should have 100s of great examples on it. If you’re a designer, you need a beautiful card.
kat
Nice lineup. I adore Doug Cloud’s cards, so cute and outstanding
iDesign Studios card looks sexy. Simple but effective.
This makes it even harder for me to come up with something great for my cards.
Thx for the post, love it!
Thanks for the include. I like yours the best!
Wow. Got some nice ones there. Still working on mine. Then again, aren’t designers always re-designing their own things?
Niki,
Your link has been updated.
Josh,
I agree. After seeing everyone elses, I think I am going to rework my business cards again
Steve,
I will definitely be holding a part 2, in the near future. So stay tuned on Twitter
Eli,
Great looking card! Be sure to submit your biz card next time for part 2
Everyone else,
Thanks and glad you all enjoyed it!
Business cards from bloggers.
Great work! Here is mine

Amazing work…. now where to get them printed? Looking for someone cheap but can do high quality and even the gloss and rounded corners that are featured in a lot of those designs…. Try GiveMeAPrint.com & get free shipping! We beat almost all local print shops and even the online big names in both price & quality. Check out GiveMeAPrint.com!
Imaginary Design,
Great looking cards…The elaborate flourishes on the back compliments the clean, “open” front where your names appears extremely well… Good stuff
Health,
Just briefly checked out your website. Looks pretty goo at first glance, and the prices seem rather competitive. Thanks for the info.
Excellent - thanks for pulling this together, Brian!
(As an aside, the hot glue media card above is for my partner, Meredith, who is @braindouche on Twitter. I’m @daniellenelson, and my card is at http://flickr.com/photos/30079024@N06/2945313294/)
Dani,
Your and Meredith’s cards are great. I really enjoy the color palette and the simplicity of the cards. Plus the vertical orientation is a nice change of pace for viewing a business card. Thanks!
Hi Brian,
Great idea for a post. I’ve linked to my personal business card through my name, and you’ll find me on Twitter at the below address:

David,
Beautiful business card - Love the choice of substrate you used instead of standard card stock. Good stuff!
Thanks very much, Brian. My card is one of my favourite print projects, given the time necessary for personal design projects (often much longer than those for clients).
Order some new cards last week and was looking for inspiration then, now I stumble across this, a week too late - typical!
Excellent resource for inspiration though, and some great looking cards on show.
Mark
Creative cards. My next project re-design everything I have and use some of the designers here. Thanks
A lot of nice looking cards but one thing is not one has a call to action or point of difference on them. Even though cards look nice if they say the same thing as a card that doesnt look great what is the real differnence.
Would you want your card to not only look different but be different as well.
Just my 2 cents.
Rich
Niki Brown gets my vote as favorite card. That design is awesome.
Wow! Awesome cards. I’ve bookmarked this post and will come back when I’m ready to design my own business card. Don’t think I need one for my current profession of “wannabee web designer”.
Great article!
These are all great, but my faves include the Silver Solutions one, which at first I didn’t like with the “Age†listed – I think that’s weird, but then the lady bug blurb made me smile. Very cute! I like the Logo Motives one also – very clever with the Monopoly look. I also like Arron Lock’s b/c of the “ninja†look to go with his title. I like yours’ as well since I’m a fan of straight, clean lines – reminds me of Mondrian art.
Great collection of cards! It’s fun to see other designs. I always get new ideas from different designs.
I don’t think I could pick a favorite - they’re all pretty cool!
~ Annie
Wow these are some great cards! I like the black and green on the cards from MCG Studio, LLC
Wow! Thats a great list. Thanks for sharing

Too late to request a critique / addition?
http://www.laffing-horse.com/grafx/biz-card-1108.jpg
I’m no longer a designer by profession, as you’ll see when you look at my card. And my card may violate every current design law.
The cards above are all quite nice, but at least 2 violate laws I learned when practicing.
Ah, well, laws change and old dogs new tricks, right?
Shawn,
Thanks for the comment. Just took a look at your business cards, and as per your request here is my critique in short…
The two separate sides makes the card and your business seem disconnecting, as if you had 2 completely different businesses on 1 card. Also in my opinion, the Papyrus font selection mixed with the arial font on the contact info, does not seem to work well. One (papyrus) is a decorative font, while arial/helvetica is a more modern font.
Hope this little bit helps. Let me know if you need any more help or critique?
You’re absolutely right! I’ve had a rough time trying to combine the aspects of both sides of my crafts business (fiber arts and brooms) and so, after months of trying to find a unifying theme, I gave up and decided that a split personality was better than no personality at all.
I’ve always felt that logotype should be kept away from the info and vice versa. hence the use of 3 faces in the card… the Papyrus and the script being the logo and the Arial conveys info only. What combination would others suggest?
really a nice post here! joining you guys on twitter (http://twitter.com/aslammemon) hope to see all of u there
Very Very Very Nice Cards.
Thanks !
Those are some fantastic designs, these are lucky to have you do this for them.

may i just submit my few designs and let u all take a look my work…?
thanks u very much… (please forgive my poor english)…:)
Nice piece of works. Thanks. I really enjoy all the stuff. So nice.

Inspirational… Graphic designers have all the fun. Those who are in the *creative* arts — particularly those in graphical arts - can really go to the max with your cards and other marketing materials and make them eye-catching.
Some cards have to still be those *boring* institutional cards (you don’t see too many accountants and lawyers going wild with their card/marcom designs, do you?)…
Ah well. I’d like to error on the wild side. And this post really gave me some ideas!
Thanks for the pictures and descriptions!
Regards,
Dave Gardner aka EditorDave
Very Nice Desings.
Thanks for your post. GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.

Some truly beautiful business cards! Thanks for the inspiration.
I’ve been looking for some good business card inspiration. This is the first list that is actually creative, beautiful, and not too weird.
graphic designer here, thanks for the post. anybody needs a designer for freelance contact me. I have 9 years of real experience.
These guys are a great resource for new design trends and information. I’m also a web/graphic designer… follow me: http://twitter.com/iBlend
Wow! such a wonderful display of business cards but the one really caught my eye was Niki Brown’s business card - its simple and yet artistic.
Lots of great visual design, however, from a naming perspective many of these are on the less-strong side, imo.
This is a really interesting post! Just Creative, CMD + Shift and Niki Brown are the only card that look like they’ve been created by a graphic designer, the rest look like they’ve been done by an accountant with a mac, there is more to Graphic Design than making pretty pictures and its really quite obvious to see here who has it and who doesn’t. It’s the wanna-be’s in the industry that perpetuate bad design like this. If only you needed a degree to practice not just the Abode creative suite package….
I am probably an outsider not in your target audience, however for me I’d like to see more commentary. e.g. xxx has powerful palette, 12pt font is a little too big/too small , nice shape but still doesn’t fit in your wallet, or something like that…
Hi there, nice cards,
would like to add ours
http://www.terra-preta.nl/blog/proces-van-schets-tot-realisatie-tp-visitekaartje/
http://www.twitter.com/terra_preta
But why have none of the cards got a Twitter address on them?
Surely if you are bothering to Twitter you want people to follow your feed?
Or is Twitter seen as too unprofessional for a business card?
What Oli Wright said is very true, some of those are horrible and some are great. Sorry Brian I dont like yours much, it looks so corporate and uninspired
Nice Collection, the best creativity in these card designs.
wow.is very good .i’m from china.
very nice….. cards…..very attractive…..
thanks..to share .this…
The CMD+SHIFT card is superb.
Great post and inspirations! I follow a lot of these guys blogs, its cool to see their business cars.
Thanks!
Good stuff. Starting to kick around new business card ideas and it’s always good to see what others are doing.
I am always pleased with business card blog posts. But this one is fantastic. I must say though, your card is the best of them all. Very modular.
Some of those cards are just so well thought out.
I hope ours can compete next time!

Some of these are just plain weird…
In the sense that I expected weird and got normal in many cases… I love the designs of Ronice, huddy and chad engle

If anyone is looking for a printer for some of these “premium” style cards we can help. Vivo! Print can do foil, spot-uv, die cut, embossing, etc. and we have great prices. If you are looking for any of these features just let me know (heath@vivoprint.com) and I would love to get you pricing and help in any way. We also have some of the best prices on all types of standard printing (http://www.vivoprint.com). Please don’t hesitate to ask is you have any questions at all. I love looking at these list but I rarely see any links to places to actually buy them. Thanks for the post!
